World T20

It's sad to miss any sort of news from first ever women's T20 world cup. I don't know what drives media to showcase men's indian cricket team for WI tour as BREAKING NEWS against women's team making it to the semifinals of the world cup.

I was disappointed to know that 50 over women's world cup final didn't happen on SCG though it was in Sydney. I saw some of the matches and those were entertaining. Now as ICC made a step forward to promote women's cricket by arranging semis and final on the same day and same venue as men's matches, I think it's media's turn to promote not only women's cricket but women's events overall.

Came across just one line in today's newspapers about Saina getting to next round in Jakarta open and there are 2 full pages on what Dhoni said after losing all three matches in super 8.
This gets to more general question that why don't we focus on success stories rather than just putting anything on screen or paper regarding Indian cricket or Ajmaj Kasab (Once there was a breaking news that Kasab didn't show any emotions in court)?

Looking forward to see Jhulan's girls making news with Anjum, Amita and Mithali joining the party.
